Lifestyle Change: The Keys to Success
By Joe Carlton

You and I both know you must gain at least a little muscle in order to burn more body fat. It is a simple biological fact of life. And with all the exercise in the world, you can never build as much muscle or burn as much fat as you can gain. If you want to look good and feel good, it all comes down to one key component: food. This goes for yound and old, male and female, active lifestyle or not. This also includes anyone considering the Zone diet, Atkins Diet, a low fat plan or even those who food combine.

Despite the models and athletes that have succeeded on my dietary plans, they were not intended specifically for models and athletes. My dietary plans were developed for people receiving physical therapy to speed recovery. They are designed to fortify the body. If exercise built around only fat burning  is the  core solution of an exercise and dietary plan, then that system will never reach its end goal. The body will continue to store fat, reduce healing rate, and slow muscle recovery.

A correct fitness plan is the key to vitality and an excellent physique. Eating is like tossing wood on a fire. Solid logs (good meals) keep the metabolism going. Eating like a bird is like tossing paper towels onto a flame. It burns off quickly and allows the fire of your metabolism to go out. And once that fire is out, it is hard to restart. Your metabolism is very unforgiving when not given the proper fuel. When your metabolism is working optimally, you can eat every few hours and maintain the same weight. When it is given the wrong foods on the wrong schedule, it will slow to a crawl and even two small meals a day will result in weight and fat gain.

So take a good look at the way you eat and the way you live. If it’s time to make a change, Joe is ready to help. Joe can engineer nutrition and fitness plans specifically for your needs. Plus, if you need information on vitamin plans or one of our therapy programs, Joe can walk you through your options.
